artist's biography

Ann Timmermans started out as an oil painter at the age of fourteen. She later on created black and white acrylic series. Her oil paintings are mostly composed in white, black and grays.

Doesn't restrict herself to one medium. Among her pieces we can destinct installations, sculpture, video, sound, multimedia and landscape art, paintings, graphic work, street art and photography.

As a photographer she focusses on subcultures and reflections. Her Beat Streets series give an impression of all the elements of hip hop culture.

Her street art pieces include black and white paintings( acrylic paint and brushes instead of spray cans), posters, street art sculptures and cray works.

As an author she writes books, articles on art, philosophy and psychology and performs interviews.
